Rihanna's New Hairstyle For 2013? Sleek Extensions With A Hint Of Dip Dye

Need a constant source of hairspiration? Look no further than queen of hairstyles, Rihanna. The songstress keeps a hair-do for barely a week before she gets bored and adds a curl, a weave or a whole new colour to her tresses.

Rihanna New Hairstyle: Hair Extensions With Undercut And Dip Dye

In 2012 alone, we saw her with tumbling waves for the Wireless Festival and a bright blonde barnet while promoting her silver screen debut Battleship before she went the whole hog and chopped her hair into a perky pixie crop for the MTV VMAs. Oh, how we gasped! And cheered! Now that it's 2013, Ri-Ri's in for yet another beauty update. Well, you know what they say - new year, new you, right?

Yes, the Bajan beauty was spotted at at trendy Hollywood nightclub My Studio with her friends this weekend showing off her latest 'do. She teamed her drop-waisted shirt dress (open to the naval, natch) with a slick of red lipstick and even slicker long locks. But for that original Ri-Ri touch, the singer retained a flash of her edgy undercut and gave the jet-black extensions an ombre dip dye. Anyone else reminded of Kim Kardashian's glossy mane? Or even our own Cheryl Cole's because-she's-worth-it bouffant?

Either way, this is a look reminiscent of those heady days when Rihanna first popped onto the pop scene back in 2005. Before she cracked out her umbrella-ella-ella, the singer was fresh-faced and sleek-of-hair as she entertained us with classic hits such as Pon de Replay. Remember? No? Then check out Ri-Ri's hair history in the gallery below and let us know which 'do gets your vote...

The Breathing Trick that Can Help You Fall Asleep Faster

The average person breathes in and out up to 23,040 times per day, but most of us do so inefficiently, taking short, shallow chest breaths while subconsciously contracting our abs, says Jane Pernotto Ehrman, a behavioral health specialist at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Lifestyle Medicine. To prepare for a restful night, Andrew Weil, MD, director of the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, recommends this breathing technique, which acts like a natural tranquilizer. …

Know Your Feelings: How to Manage 5 Negative Emotions

As my son is now at the age where he gets loudly and violently frustrated when he can't express his emotions, I've been thinking a lot about how to teach him which emotions are which. It's no coincidence that many of us would choose similar body language and words to represent a specific emotion. The researched and published Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showed that we really do feel different emotions in different parts of our bodies. Acknowledging how and where we feel …

11 Ways to Lose Weight (and Still Have Fun) This Weekend

Go for a long workout: Even squeezing in a quick workout during the week can be rough, so schedule a longer weekend workout. Don't hold out for a big meal: When you sit down to a special meal famished, you're far more likely to overeat and overdrink. Don't overbooze at brunch: When inhibitions are lowered with a few mimosas or Bloody Marys, it's easy to overeat without realizing - and need a nap right after the meal. Linger on a single cocktail throughout the meal; …
