Hallan restos de avión perdido en Nepal

KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) — Rescatistas hallaron el lunes los restos de un avión de pasajeros que se reportó como desaparecido cuando transportaba a 18 personas en el oeste de Nepal. Se desconoce aún el destino de los pasajeros.

Ram Hari Sharma, de Nepal Airlines, dijo que un helicóptero de rescate detectó los restos sobre la ladera de una montaña cerca de Machinelek, y que ahora los rescatistas tratan de llegar al lugar a pie.

El avión operado por la aerolínea estatal perdió contacto con la torre de control el domingo mientras volaba entre lluvia y neblina.

En el avión viajaban 15 pasajeros y tres tripulantes. Se cree que uno de los pasajeros era danés, mientras que los demás serían nepaleses.
