Pink hair is all the rage these days - just ask Nicki Minaj, Lauren Conrad and Coco Rocha - but the girl who really kick started the trend has to be the fuchsia-topped Charlotte Free. Oh, how cool she is. The dinky model first caught Grazia Daily's eye when she stomped down the catwalk for Vivienne Westwood, Jeremy Scott and Roksanda Ilincic. Then she treated us to a bad-ass Tumblr account filled with fantastical thoughts and kooky doodles.
So it wasn't long before the likes of Pamela Love and Ermanno Scervino were signing up Charlotte's punky beauty for themselves. Last month, we saw her working her cheekbones for Maybelline New York and today, we've been treated to an exclusive look at her posing up a storm for Forever 21.
Here she is looking mean-and-moody in the latest campaign wearing a sexy LBD with cut-outs at the side, which is suitably funked up by her pink tips, sultry pout and killer accessories. In another shot, she has those slender pins on display in a pair of too-cool-for-school denim shorts covered in rips, teamed with a black tee emblazoned with a tiger's face (so cool, dontcha know) under an off-the-moment army jacket plus mega leopard print wedged heels. Isn't she just the perfect gal for the job?
This is the second installment of La Free working her magic for the hipster US label. You'll remember it was last month when we announced she had been snapped by Forever 21 and the first look book proved this really is the perfect match. Char looked typically grungy in stripey crop tops and star-printed skirts, all polished off with a bright pink lip to match her bright pink dip-dye.
The new collection lands in-store at Forever 21 on May 26th (that's this Saturday!) and even more excitingly, the first 150 people through the door of the Oxford Street store will get a major treat: an exclusive "Love Is Free" totebag PLUS first dibs on the collection. We recommend rearranging your plans immediatley.
