AnnaSophia Robb As Carrie Bradshaw in The Carrie Diaries: FIRST LOOK!

This moment has been a long time coming and at last little Carrie Bradshaw is here!

AnnaSophia Robb As Carrie Bradshaw in The Carrie Diaries: FIRST LOOK!

Last month, AnnaSophia Robb was announced as the lucky lady who'd bagged the part of the young Carrie in the CW’s new Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries. Then we spotted Anna on set in New York City with crimped hair ’80s style and we were excited (we chose to ignore the Uggs and hoodie). But now the first real official photo of the actress as our beloved Carrie has been released - and we like.

'When AnnaSophia Robb walked into the room, we knew we had found her,' the show's writerAmy B. Harris said. 'The fact that she loves a gorgeous pair of heels doesn’t hurt either.'

'It’s a rare invitation to dress a character whose reputation truly precedes her,' said costume designer Eric Daman, who's also the man behind Gossip Girl's fabulous wardrobe. 'Having played a hand in designing for the Carrie we know and love, I am honored to be chosen to carry the torch — to illuminate the woman we know by discovering the young lady she was.'

So what's your verdict on Anna as Carrie? Let us know in the box below...

Trim the fat for happiness, says latest diet research

Diets high in fat can lead to not only weight gain and heart disease, but depression and behavior changes, according to a new study at Louisiana State University in the US. These changes come about due to the high-fat diet's affect on the gut microbiome, according to the study. They transferred the gut microbiota from mice that had been fed either a high-fat diet or a control diet into adult mice of normal weight that had been kept on a normal diet. Those who had received microbiota shaped …
