10 Things Not To Do If You Want To Succeed

altWhether it is your own business or a job, failure is simply not part of the plan! So, how do you make sure it never gets in the way of your dreams to succeed?

MensXP gives you some exclusive tips to know what NOT to do:

1. Imitate

In this world that lacks creativity and innovative ideas, thinking out-of-the-box will always guarantee success. Rather than following the herd, shape your thoughts and actions in a unique manner. Give the world something it has not experienced before!

2. Be Condescending

Do not be judgemental and waste your energy on belittling others. Instead, focus on your own goals and achievements, in order to really succeed.

3. Have a Superiority Complex

Treating others as inferior may seem like a boost to your ego, but may prove to be your downfall, in the long run. Maintain cordial relations with all and never treat anyone else as a person beneath you in stature.

4. Place All Your Eggs in One Basket

Investing all your savings in a flaky start-up venture may not be a wise step. Instead, first ensure your plan is solid enough to see the light of day. Then, instead of investing a fortune, put in only a portion into one fragment of the business. Once that is successful, move on to the next step.

5. Take Heavy Loans

Personal as well as business loans are not too difficult to take. However, be careful how much you take, since the ROI must also be kept into consideration. You do not wish to end up a failure due to a financial disaster!

6. Indulge in Loose Talk

Gossiping and indulging in loose talk about others is simply a waste of energy and thoughts. Direct those energies to more productive thinking instead.

7. Pick Arguments

Arguing with others, especially to prove you are superior, reflects poorly on your personality. Use your wit and pacify your opponent instead. In your road to success, make him an ally rather than an enemy.

8. Create Bad Blood

Further to creating allies, avoid spars and unpleasant situations that could cause long-term rifts, whether with colleagues or family. These will only lead to hindrances on your road to success.

9. Limit Your Learning

Thinking that what you have learnt up to a certain point in life is sufficient to be successful is incorrect. Never stop the process of learning – whether it is from your parents, bosses, peers or friends.

10. Limit Your Possibilities

Whilst your goals may be modest enough to succeed as per your plan, do not limit yourself to these. Keep setting mini-goals and increasing the level of possibility. Reward yourself each time a milestone is achieved.

Success in business or personal life does not come easy to anyone. While hard work, focus and passion are important to succeed, a list of things to avoid is equally important!

Eating peanuts early could prevent allergy in infants: study

With peanut allergies on the rise worldwide, a study Monday found that contrary to previous advice, feeding foods containing peanuts to babies before 11 months of age may help prevent allergies. The findings in the New England Journal of Medicine are based on a British study of 640 children, aged four months to 11 months, who were considered at high risk of becoming allergic to peanuts either because of a pre-existing egg allergy or eczema, which can be linked to peanut allergy. Researchers …
