Yahoo! Exclusive - How to become a 'hot guy who cooks'

Whipping up a dish from scratch is certainly a surefire way to impress a date. Even if the meal is less than perfect, putting in time in the kitchen = "I care enough to do this for you!"

For TV presenter Henry Golding from Malaysia and Singapore-based American actor Bobby Tonelli, men should have no fear of kitchen if they just keep things simple.

Don't have ideas of over-impressing, says Bobby. Cook something extravagant, and "you set a standard that isn't realistic" and there might be a problem maintaining  the standard on your second or third or fourth date. "Start simple, so you have room to grow."

Henry gives a super practical tip for men starting out in the kitchen: Don't prepare anything with asparagus in it.

"Asparagus is meant to be a lovely, juicy type of vegetable," he shares. "But it does give you stinky pee. That definitely not a great thing!"

What's gotten Henry and Bobby getting (and looking!) dishy in the kitchen? Henry is preparing a meal he describes as "very Jamie Oliver-esque easy fun... the perfect equation for enjoying a lazy Sunday whilst it cooks away in the oven."

Bobby gets busy with dish he describes as "simple yet unique and healthy. This is a dish many friends keep asking me to make repeatedly so I figured, why not?"

Find out what tasty treats they've prepared in "Hot Guys Who Cook", airing every Monday at at 9pm (8pm Jakarta) on Diva Universal (StarHub 522 in Singapore, Astro 702 in Malaysia and in the Philippines: Asian Vision Cable Channel 40; Cablelink Ch. 37; DREAM Satellite Ch. 33; Global Destiny Ch. 40; Sky Cable Ch. 37).
