When the weather changes from sunny to gloomy and you find your mood changing along with it, you know you’ve got the rainy day blues.
While depression, irritability and sluggishness typically go along with the change of weather, one bright spot is looking for foods that will perk up your mood. (Ever notice that you start craving for foods that you typically don’t pine for when the weather's cooperating?)
Yahoo! SHE staffers named a few familiar tummy warmers on the top of their list of favorite rainy day foods.

For us, there’s nothing more satisfying and nurturing than digging into steaming hot bowls of arroz caldo, congee, goto, lomi, champorado with tuyo, sinigang, batchoy and sopas or chicken noodle soup. Hot milo, chocolate or coffee with pan de sal also tops the list. Some also crave for tapsilog or garlic rice with danggit.
Many of these foods bring back warm memories of being served these foods by family members or loved ones while we were nursing illnesses or being taken care of when we were younger.
While these foods can’t shoo away the rains, they sure can help change the way we feel about the weather.
Tell us: What foods do you crave for during the rainy season, and what memories do they conjure?
