Who’d a thought it, red suits are BACK! Well, to be truthful, they haven’t really ever had a moment in the spotlight before (Austin Power’s velvet number being the exception of course). In the last couple of days we’ve had not one but TWO huge stars spotted sporting the trend. First up our favourite Gossip Girl Blake Lively stepped out in her Michael Kors suit (buy it here!) to appear on Good Morning America. She wore hers with a pair of very elegant black Christian Louboutin Neuron cage sandals, and because she knows that a red suit is outfit-a-plenty, opted for no jewellery.

Rihanna this week also donned her favourite scarlet suit, this time a two tone tuxedo style by Acne. The singer was in London to perform a Hackney Weekend, and now is filming a new fashion TV show with Henry Holland and Nicola Roberts. The red suit with silk satin lapels and side seams is traditionally more formal than Lively’s simple suit, but Ri-Ri dresses hers down with flat white brogues and a colourful bangle. It shouldn’t work, but actually it really does!
