Top 10 causes of early hair loss

Today’s generation is experiencing an alarming amount of hair loss. People in their twenties find themselves balding and this applies to men and women. It is normal to shed about 75 to 100 hairs daily, anything above that is a cause for concern. It seems that both women and men are experiencing this problem.

1. Indiscriminate alcohol intake. Too much alcohol in your system interferes with absorption of vitamins from the diet, less vitamins means less nutrition available for your hair.

2. Stress overload. Your constant worrying may cause a hormonal imbalance that lead do excessive hair loss.

3. Fungal infections. Conditions such as seborrhoeic dermatitis can cause scalp itching and hair loss if not treated. These infections can occur more often in children and adolescents.

6. Allergies. Sometimes the scalp doesn't respond well to certain shampoos and conditioners. As a result hair falls at an alarming rate.

7. Genetic disposition. Heredity also plays a role in determining your hair quality and quantity. Male pattern baldness can strike as early as late twenties so it is important to identify the type of baldness because even though there is no cure for this condition, it can be slowed down with the use of medication.

8. Pollution and environmental factors. If you're constantly exposed to harsh elements, your hair will lose its luster and eventually start to fall.

9. Lack of sleep. Adequate sleep is important for hair cells to rest and rejuvenate. Even staying up late at home is harmful as hair cells need to rest.
