Athletic feats are the stock and trade of the X Games, and the 18th summer event in downtown Los Angeles, California, this past weekend, June 28-July 1, didn't disappoint as global competitors in BMX, skateboarding, motocross, and rally car racing went for the gold in the most extreme sports staged.
Eight-time World Rally Champion, France's Sebastien Loeb, claimed the gold for the RallyCross final Sunday, July 1, finishing 12.23 seconds better than the silver medalist. Considered the most fearsome driver in the world, this event marked Loeb's debut at the X Games and his first race in North America.
