Manila Hotel, 100 years on

Since first opening its doors in 1912, the Manila Hotel has played host to such guests as Gen. Douglas MacArthur, President Dwight Eisenhower, His Royal Highness Prince Charles and actor Marlon Brando to name a few. As it celebrates 100 years, Manila Hotel's story lives on with "Manila Revisited," a room package inclusive of an Intramuros Tour and other privileges. See Fort Santiago, Rizal's Execution Site, Casa Manila, Palacio del Gobernador, Manila Cathedral, San Agustin Church and the former Headquarters of General Douglas MacArthur.

    As far as I know Manila Hotel is owned by the Philippine Gov't. It will not be for sale ever. Outside view is okay including its location. I just don't know if the rooms are still original, renovated or updated in style. Keep it for old time sake.

    I have stayed there to. I loved the old furniture and the huge chandeliers. It would be nice to bring it back to it formal glory. I would love to buy her if I had the money. anyone want to join in together and make it a major project

    Wow..!,my comment just for the more improvement of manila Hotel, Please replace the elevator or repair. its just scary to ride in the elevators. sometime it don't open.

    The room visible just above the "M: of the Manila Hotel I had the best time of my entire life, ever. Too bad I lost touch with her. Knowing what I know now, I should have married her. Thank You Manila Hotel for the most epic days of my life. Wowoweee!
