Is your partner cheating? There's an app for that
Launched this week, Qoqoriqo lets users enter their partners' details to see if they're having an affair.
The brainchild of 39-year-old web entrepreneur Mawuna Koutonin, Qoqoriqo can be accessed online or via an app and uses crowdsourcing to see if details entered, for example an email address or mobile phone number, have also been entered by another person.
If no one else has entered the details, a suspicious spouse can set up an alert, meaning he or she will be notified the moment someone else searches for the same contact details on the site.
However, if a search brings back potential connections, those users can discuss potential infidelity either directly or via the site's forum. They can then gather evidence such as photographs, mobile phone bills, email exchanges and more in order to prove their partner's infidelity.
Koutonin claims he was inspired to create the service after he saw a friend's partner out with another woman and wondered how things would be if both women were aware of this infidelity.
"Qoqoriqo is, quite simply, a search engine dedicated to infidelity fact checking. People invariably leave tracks when they are dating or flirting; Qoqoriqo uses a collaborative fact-collecting tool to help people find out the truth about their relationship. It's a crowdsourced relationship status update to detect deception," he says.
