Olympic highlights on Twitter, July 30: Chinese supremacy

Another day of outstanding Chinese performances left host nation Great Britain pining for medals and yet more specators marveling at China's Olympic success.

"We are only 3 gold medals and 14 trillion dollars in debt behind China," wrote US comedian Julian McCullough (@julezmac).

"Tom Daley says China is the top country for diving... So that's why Didier Drogba went there!" jokes the FootyHumour account (@FootyHumour), crediting the ex-Premier League footballer for China's prowess in the pool.

Among all the joking and the jibes, Twitter user Stevie ‏(@stevieleighpich) offered one of the calmer analyses, saying "The Chinese at the Olympics are basically those people at your school who are good at everything and everyone else hates them."
