New Film, New Hair: Jessica Alba Goes Blonde For Sin City 2!

Miley Cyrus caused a social media storm when she documented her dramatic hair change via Twitter so when Jessica Alba went blonde this weekend, all in the name of a new movie role, she let us know by Instagram-ing the event, of course.

Reprieving the role of Nancy Callahan for the sequel of neo-noir film Sin City, Jessica is back to playing the super-hot exotic dancer in Kadie’s bar who is naturally a blonde-haired beauty.  Ms Alba, on the other hand, is known for her enviously rich-hued brunette locks. So you know what that means? Bye bye brown hair and hello Sin City blonde!

The actress’s hair stylist is Robert Ramos, the owner of Beverly Boulevard Estilo Salon (Eva Mendez is also rumored to be a regular client) so Jessica went to him for her blonde transformation. He can be seen in the background of one of the snaps, holding up extra blonde hair extensions which may explain why Jess’s hair is looking a little fuller than usual. Love it!

Although the colour change is for a new film role, Jessica’s dip-dye blonde ends also happen to be one of the biggest hair trends for the new season.  Seen all over the catwalk - including fashion power house Prada - there’s a new generation of dip-dye, which will see the micro-trend of a few seasons ago making a big come back.  You don't have to spend a fortune in the salon either: L’Oreal Paris Preference is launching an at home dip-dye product, Wild Ombres, so you can document your very own colour transformation in the comfort of your own bathroom. Above is a sneak peek of the product so be sure to add it to your shopping list.
