This is the third in a series of “how to” blog posts about how you can recycle and give new purpose to the stuff your baby has outgrown.
Take clothes. It seems unbelievable how kids easily outgrow them. Although it is obviously practical to set old clothes aside as hand-me-downs or to donate, there may pieces of your baby’s old clothing that are of sentimental value. These items may not be as easy to part with.
You may have heard of moms turning old t-shirts into quilts. But, that’s not exactly practical in our tropical weather. Instead, why not turn them into these adorable throw pillows by simply sewing all the hems closed and stuffing them with cotton or nylon fillers.

The old plastic tub where your baby used to bathe in may still be used a water basin, container for plants or as extra storage for toys.

The rack you used to dry your baby’s milk bottles may be used to hold and organize spools of thread, ribbon or yarn.
Keep individual jewelry items inside old mittens, socks or booties. Not only are these a great way to store your precious trinkets, they also help protect the gems from scratches.
