Petaling Jaya (The Star/ANN) - Malaysians took to Twitter to pay tribute to disco queen Donna Summer, who died of cancer at the age of 63.
Fans expressed their sympathy and condolences online soon after her death was announced yesterday.
Vivian Chan tweeted at @vivian_chan that Disco never dies, long live the queen.
Another twitter user, @twilightaction, said Lost another legend to cancer after Yauch. RIP disco queen Donna Summer.
Adam Yauch, a member of American rap group Beastie Boys died last Friday after a three-year struggle with cancer. He was 47.
Some Summer fans also listened to her hit songs after they heard of her death, taking them on a trip down memory lane to relive her disco music.

The multiple Grammy-award winning singers family released a statement on Thursday saying that Summer died and that they are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.
Summer, whose real name was LaDonna Adrian Gaines, was known for her pulsing dance anthems wildly popular in the 70s and 80s, including Last Dance, Love to Love You Baby, Hot Stuff and Macarthur Park.
Capital FM music manager Sheela Haran said they will continue playing her songs, including She Works Hard for the Money and No More Tears, until Sunday.
Our deejays will also be telling their personal stories on how she has inspired them with her music until Sunday, she said.
