Lana Del Rey's fashion credentials have been going from strength to strength recently, and it has now been confirmed that the singer will front high street retailer H&M's fall campaign.
Rumors began circulating last month that the songstress would be H&M's autumn face, and it was finally confirmed July 16 that she will be the global star of H&M's fall advertising -- with a subsequent campaign planned for winter.
Del Rey's "Video Games" was first played at Christopher Kane's Spring/Summer 2012 show last September, and she soon enamored the fashion world with her haunting vocals and old Hollywood aesthetic.
It wasn't long before the singer was signed to Next modeling agency, and earlier this year she even followed in the footsteps of Brit style icon Alexa Chung by having a Mulberry handbag named after her.
For the H&M campaign, Del Rey evokes 1950s glamour, sporting her trademark bouffant locks in one picture where she wears a pale pink angora blend sweater.
"The mood is very L.A. noir," H&M's creative director Donald Schneider told WWD. "It's inspired by our fall collection."
Del Rey has also performed a cover of the retro hit "Blue Velvet" for a mini film that will be released on hm.com September 19.
