Lady GaGa's Hair Raising Wig Dress Shocks Hong Kong!

Unlike heels, jeans or maybe even a good t-shirt, we never imagined wig dresses could become a fashion addiction. But Lady GaGa is here to always prove us wrong; last night marked the sixth, yes, SIXTH time in her crazy fashion existence that a hairy dress was deemed the most appropriate choice for a public appearance. (In fact, add two on-stage appearances and the total wig-based outfits equals a staggering eight.)

For a style chameleon like LG, it’s rare to see her in the same concept twice, so this wig trend must be more versatile than we first considered. Well, more versatile than a meat dress or giant lobster outfit anyway. We think…

Last night Lady G arrived in Hong Kong, and as one does when one wants to make a grand bulb-popping entrance she wore a suitably bonkers concoction. As if the woven purple wig gown - which so artfully integrated her own blonde locks into its neckline (itchy, non?) – wasn’t quite hair raising enough, the pop-star upped the fancy ante with a white Amish-style hat, elbow length gloves and some signature round sunnies.

As we mentioned before, it’s not the first time we’ve seen Gaga don a ‘do – in the past she’s worn two very swishy minis from VPL, a spooky black and blue Holly Russell gown and a pink Charlie Le Mindu number with a biker jacket. So, is her idea brushing shoulders too closely with Cousin It?  Or is the Lady putting a big BANG into wearable bangs? Well, there are plenty of emerging designers choosing to work in this material, so there must be a market for it outside of the Lady's travelling closet, right?

The jury is out here at Grazia HQ, but we’d love to know what YOU think. Tell us below!
