Kylie Minogue Talks Her Next Acting Moves At Cannes 2012: 'A Musical Would Be Ideal!'

Kylie Minogue not only went for gold when she glittered in Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci and Dolce and Gabbana gowns at the Cannes Film Festival (check out her style in the gallery above), but her movie debut in 'Holy Motors' is also a favourite for the Golden Palm award, cinema's highest accolade.

'Premiering the film was one of the most exciting nights of my life - and I haven't exactly had an uneventful career,' Kylie told Grazia Daily. 'I think it might even top the world tour I just did.'

Holy Motors is directed by Frenchman Leos Carax, who only knew Kylie because of her duet with Australian singer Nick Cave. She has a ten minute cameo in the film, which has been described as 'bonkers' by critics. 'It was so liberating to do it,' she says. 'It was freedom. Also I wasn't surrounded by an entourage for once, I just turned up by myself and could lose myself into a different person.'

The 43 year old says she's looking for fresh challenges to 'nurture' herself which would include more acting: 'Maybe even a musical, that would be ideal really.'

Sister Dannii has yet to see the film, although her brother James gave her red carpet advice. 'He told me not to wear the gold dress, he preferred a red one. I went with my gut.' Will her instinct for gold translate into the Palme D'Or on Sunday? Grazia Daily's right behind you, Kylie.
