Kristen Stewart's Red Carpet Style: Bye Bye Heels, Hello Trainers

We’ve all been there. Having fallen in love with a pair of gravity defying heels which perfectly sculpt our legs and complement our outfits, 10 minutes into wearing them we are cursing the day we ever saw them on the shelf. But while we struggle through with gritted teeth young starlet, Kristen Stewart has another tactic.

Notorious for her refusnik attitude, K-Stew isn’t exactly the consummate red carpet pro. However, during the current round of premieres for her new movie, Snow White & The Huntsman, her nonchalant approach has reached new heights. Limiting her time in heels to an absolute minimum, Kristen has been busted not once, but twice in three days swapping her glamorous stilettos for sneakers. At the London premiere K-Stew was caught red faced by the paps changing in a bush from a pair of Nikes into black heels. Two days later in Berlin, it was almost the same story as she slipped off her ‘Pigalle’ Loubotins into flats shoes to greet her fans.

K-Stew’s recent red carpet choices have been well considered – a 10 Crosby Derek Lam red midi dress, a BCBG Max Azria colour block look, an orange and blue lace Preen mini dress and the WOWSERS black Marchesa gown she rocked for London’s world premiere. But does her low-key hair and make-up and inability to maintain the glamour factor in her heels make you love her even more, or think she needs to get some fashion balls and deal with the shoe pain? Either way, we are always happy to see a young red carpet star break from the pack and follow her own fashion star - and you never know, with a bit more practice she might yet learn to walk in those heels.
