Karlie Kloss On Her Christian Dior Prom Dress And Towering Over Her Date!

Lovely lovely all-American supermodel Karlie Kloss has opened her heart to W magazine’s Editor-at-Large Lynn Hirschberg – who has created this minimal interview video as part of her series of ‘Screen Tests’. How fab! In it we learn many fascinating facts about the fresh-faced young lady from St Louis (did we mention, her accent is particularly adorable?) She giggles and moues her way through the vid all about growing up a supermodel (she did her first shoot aged 14 – five years ago) commuting back and forth to her hometown on aeroplanes from New York, Paris, or wherever she happened to be working at the time – to get to her lessons at High School, which she took very seriously, despite earning what we imagine must have been squillions as one of fashion’s most in-demand pair of legs!

Other facts include that she wore Dior to her High School Prom – an event which rendered her date for the night ‘hysterical’ although she looks puzzled at the fact that her buying him a tie in the matching colour to her gown didn’t calm him down as she was either ‘eleven inches’ or ‘a solid foot’ taller than him. Well, we can’t say we feel particularly sorry for they chap – with a supermodel on his arm – that’s SURELY a good story for any future grandchildren. So enchanted were we at the thought of Karlie in her sweeping prom attire – we decided to go back through the archives to some of her most magical Christian Dior moments  . . . all the better to imagine her at her moment of fashionable High School glory!
