How a bicycle handlebar affects the female orgasm

A group of doctors at the Texas A&M Health Science Center reviewed the effect of various cycling positions on the female genital organs.

Forty-eight professional female cyclists were enrolled in the study. They were all non-pregnant, premenopausal and they clocked in at least 10 miles per week, four weeks per month of biking time.

The data showed that handlebars that were positionned lower than the bike seat were associated with increased pelvic floor pressure and decreased anterior vaginal wall and labial sensation.

The results were published last March 5 in The Journal of Sexual Medicine.

The famous ‘G-spot’

What do these findings signify?

Well, if you've been doing your homework, you would know that the famous "G-spot" is located in the anterior vaginal wall.

For a long time the clitoris was believed to be the main trigger for a female orgasm. Dr. Ernst Grafenberg in the 1950s proved this wrong.

The G-spot, as it is now popularly called, is a fleshy tissue at the anterior wall of the vaginal canal which when stimulated can produce a very powerful orgasm similar to the male ejaculation.

The female pleasure spot can be located by running a finger from the deepest part of the vaginal canal towards the front or upper wall of the vagina. The G-spot is rougher than the usually smooth and slippery mucosa of the vagina. When touched, it will produce a jolted reaction on the woman similar to the sensation of static electricity.

Handle with care

While the G-spot can be stimulated manually, it must be done gently. Tapping the area or mild rubbing may also produce the desired effect.

The G-spot may also be stimulated during intercourse when the woman is on top or when the woman is on her hands and knees and vaginal penetration occurs from behind.

But before you go and experiment with your special someone, follow the doctor's advice and get that bike handlebar fixed!
