Glee's Lea Michelle Talks About Being The Face Of L'Oreal Paris

It’s been a few weeks since we reported that L’Oreal Paris had announced a new face, Glee actress Lea Michelle, and since the announcement Lea has spoken out about her exciting new beauty contract.  Whilst many prepared to walk the red carpet for the Emmy’s, Lea was squirreled away in a New York studio, shooting the new L’Oreal campaign.

Speaking to WWD, Lea explained “I’ve been using L’Oréal my whole life — everything from hair care to beauty.  It’s so amazing for me because I’m from New York and growing up I was never really considered the typical beauty, so the fact that I’m now the face of such an incredible company and brand is so awesome,” a real ugly swan moment we’re envisaging, and with that in mind, Lea told WWD how surprised she was at being signed for such a mega beauty brand “That they would look at me and consider me is unbelievable. I think I have a type of look that is very relatable, that’s different and unique that girls can look at and say ‘I feel like I look like her,’”.  Lea’s mother is Italian and her father Spanish, which might help with appeal to L’Oreal’s global customers.

But what products does the new face love?  “I’m obsessed with their eye makeup remover, Clean Artiste, it’s incredible, I’ve been using their EverCreme shampoos for such a long time and their mascaras are the best mascaras in the world.” We couldn’t agree more.  And Lea’s top beauty tips?
Always wash your face, that’s a big one.  I try not to wear makeup in my daily life to give my skin a chance to breathe.”  Well as Beauty addicts we’re not so sure but who are we to argue with a mega TV star?!
