First look: Emily Blunt to front YSL Opium ads

British actress Emily Blunt

French fashion and beauty brand Yves Saint Laurent has released a teaser for its new fragrance campaign starring the Hollywood actress.

According to a press release, Blunt will "unveil a fiery, almost reckless woman with magnetic seduction, that nobody or nothing can resist."

The star, who follows in the footsteps of the likes of Kate Moss and Sophie Dahl, said that she found it "really exciting to embody a fragrance which has stood the test of time without its allure ever being diminished."

Opium was first launched in 1977 and includes notes ranging from mandarin orange, bergamot, lily of the valley, jasmine and myrrh to vanilla, patchouli, and amber.

Blunt's ads -- photographed by Romain Gavras and Patrick Demarchelier -- will be unveiled later this month.
