About 2000 feet above sea level, you’ll find the hilltop town of Busay. It’s there that you’ll find the most breathtaking view of the city; good, comfortable sweater weather; and an array of attractions that’ll make you glad you made the trip. So the next time you find yourself in Cebu and are in need of some R&R, head on over to Busay. It’s about a 30-40 minute trip uphill, and if you’re feeling adventurous, a habal-habal ride to the top will cost you P200.
Here’s a list of places you may wanna check out once you’re in the neighborhood.
1. Tops
Situated 650 meters above sea level, in Barangay Malubog in Busay, you’ll find Tops. The popular tourist attraction that offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Metro Cebu and the islands of Mactan and Olango. Tops is also home to the Cebu Skyline Garden Bell, and tradition says you should give it a good, ol’ ring when you’re there, for luck of course.
2. Mountain View Nature’s Park
A few hundred meters below Tops, Mountain View Nature’s Park offers accommodations as well as an impressive view deck, camp site, canteen, billiard table, playground, table tennis, mini-zoo, and even videoke! So you can rock out and sing the night away with you buddies while enjoying a spectacular view of the city.
If you’re not looking to stay the night, a cool P50/head gets you in and allows you to enjoy the whole day on park grounds.
