Don’t say no to cheese, it’s good for you!

Cheese is great for you in so many ways, so indulge in it guilt free!

Here’s why you should be including cheese in your diet:

Great for your teeth: Cheese is extremely rich in calcium, and that’s one important ingredient in making your teeth strong and healthy. Additionally, studies suggest that cheese can reduce plaque and stimulate saliva, thus keeping your mouth clean. Eating certain kinds of cheese such as cheddar, gouda and blue, immediately after a meal is proven to prevent tooth decay. So eat cheese for healthy teeth.  This doesn’t mean you can skip brushing and flossing your teeth!

It’s even better for your bones: For pretty much the same reason – that being — high calcium content, cheese is great for your bones. Having adequate amounts of calcium in your diet means healthy, strong bones. For better absorption of calcium by the body, the diet needs to be supplemented by vitamin B-12 – another nutrient cheese is rich in.  So eating cheese goes a long way in prevention of osteoporosis.

Eases pregnancy: Calcium-rich foods like cheese are super good for pregnant women. Cheese is known to be able to stimulate contractions when it’s time for the baby to come out. It also enables proper milk production after delivery.

Keeps migraine headaches at bay: As per studies, adequate supply of calcium in your diet can help prevent those nasty migraine attacks. As noted earlier, cheese is a great source of calcium!

Boosts immunity: Certain types of cheese like blue, cheddar and Swiss are known to enhance the body’s defence mechanism against diseases. So snack on some cheese for better immune function.
