Cannes Film Festival: Preview Swarovski's 2012 Red Carpet collection

When the 65th Cannes Film Festival kicks off next week many of the world's biggest A-list stars will be heading to crystal-maker Swarovski's suite at the Hotel Martinez to make their red carpet accessory choices from this year's Red Carpet collection.

Jewels in the range include 1960s-inspired asymmetric hoop earrings and a matching bracelet, while there are a host of dazzling clutches including the "Starlight" bag with its 500 hand-set crystals.

Every year since 2004 one of the house's most popular premiere and after-party creations has been the "Star Collector" bag, with famous faces including Dita Von Teese, Penélope Cruz and Catherine Deneuve all making their way down the red carpet clutching past editions.

For 2012, Swarovski presents its latest "Star Collector," the "Star Shadow," which is delicately curved to highlight the 1900 perfectly positioned Crystal Rock stones -- ideal for attracting the flashing bulbs of the paparazzi.

A-listers will also have a helping hand from Swarovski in making sure they look camera ready at all times thanks to its organizer set including a stunning mirror encrusted with 550 Crystal Rock stones and new lipstick "Aura by Swarovski."

Leading ladies poised to hit the red carpet at this year's Cannes Film Festival, running May 16-27, include festival regulars Aishwarya Rai and Bérénice Bejo -- who is this year's Mistress of Ceremonies.
