Brad Pitt latest face of Chanel

Luxury brand Chanel announced Wednesday that it has chosen American actor Brad Pitt (Ocean's Eleven, Inglourious Basterds, Moneyball) to appear in the next advertising campaign for its iconic fragrance No. 5. When contacted by Relaxnews, Chanel noted that the 48-year-old star will feature in campaign images shot for the women's scent, and not for a men's version of the house's signature fragrance.

Other faces of Chanel No. 5 include Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou.

Brad Pitt will next be seen on the big screen this autumn in Killing Them Softly, which is also in the running for the Palme d'Or 2012 at the upcoming Cannes film festival (May 16-27).
