Bobbi Brown makes nod to 'Fifty Shades of Grey' with 'Come-Hither Shades'

Beauty brand Bobbi Brown has made a nod to the phenomenal success of erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey with the introduction of its Come-Hither Shades.

Penned by British writer E. L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey has become an international phenomenon. It tells the story of a 21-year-old English literature student named Anastasia Steele and her kinky billionaire lover Christian Grey.

While it is not an official tie-in with the books, no-one can ignore the Bobbi Brown collection's titillating tagline: "When did grey get so naughty?"

There are not 50 shades available in the Bobbi Brown line, but the collection includes a dark grey shadow called Steel Eye Shadow and a medium metallic grey called Rockstar Metallic Eye Shadow. Other products include a pure white shadow and a charcoal one.

The hype surrounding Fifty Shades has been unprecedented and it even inspired UK tailors Norton & Townsend to offer a menswear collection inspired by the novel's namesake Christian Grey.

Meanwhile, UK company Caroline Mickler Ltd, global licensing agent for Fifty Shades of Grey merchandise, has planned a line of beauty products, lingerie, jewelry, bedding and home furnishings inspired by the highly successful series -- primarily targeted at adult women.
