A range of household products and accessories chosen for their aesthetic appeal and functional qualities will go on show at the Ambiente trade show in Germany as part of the annual Design Plus Awards.
The annual Design Plus Awards are organized by the Design and Life Initiative and sponsored by Messe Frankfurt -- the organizers of Ambiente, The German Design Council and the Association of the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
The winning products have to have been on the market for less than two years and were chosen by a jury of experts for their aesthetic and functional qualities. The winning products are then displayed at Ambiente, one of the world's leading household products and interior design trade shows.
This year a total of 22 products from 18 companies located in countries including, Spain, Italy, China, Japan, Portugal, German, France, Denmark, USA were selected to receive the award.
Winners include a Fish Scaler designed by Diego Repiso from 3 Claveles Bueno Hermanos (http://www.3claveles.com/), a stainless steel tray designed by Pierre Charpin from Alessi (http://www.alessi.com) and the MM03i soft touch black - iPhone docking station designed by David Turpin from Design Pool Ltd./Native Union (www.nativeunion.com).

Later in the year the second edition of the New York Annual Gift Fair, held August 18-23, will also honor a number of household products in their bi-annual series of Accent on Design Awards.
